Kota Tua Jakarta - Indonesia featuring Leather Bag by Asr Stuff

The ancient areas in some cities always give some kind of city attractiveness. Let see  Braga street in Bandung, Kota Lama area in Semarang and Kota Tua in Jakarta. There are several old buildings standing on those areas, but unfortunately with not enough proper maintenance.

At present, there are many modern buildings in the cities as a feature of a modern city, but some ancient areas especially in Jakarta (called Kota Tua) are still get much appreciation from visitors or travelers. Kota Tua is a small area in Jakarta Indonesia. It was the reminiscent of the vicinity during colonial times in 16^th century that the city was only within Batavia walled compound, while the surrounding areas was only kampong (villages), street and rice fields. Kota Tua (Dutch : Oud Batavia) areas placed in North Jakarta and West Jakarta was the center of trade in Asia.

In the past, during The reign of Hindia Belanda (Dutch Indies) made Old Batavia as a copy of Amsterdam located in the Dutch. Kota Tua is just  15 square kilometers of area with similar style buildings with the style of those in the Dutch.  it used to be called neo-classic style. The style has certain characteristic like symmetrical buildings, the high pillars that mounted to rooftop and roof  formed by dome.

Talking about neo-classic style, Kota Lama has one famous landmark. It  is called Fatahillah Museum, located in Taman Fatahillah street No. 2 West Jakarta. The Museum has a lot of replicas from steles, boats and the building scale model. Furthermore, on the second floor we can find household furniture that used in the Dutch Colonial era. The museum itself has more than 1300 m2 area. It consists of concrete block at the yard, the trees and classical ornaments decorating around the yard. The museum also  has  ancient cannon that is located in courtyard. At the rooftop there is  like of, I am not sure what is called, but it is like wind indicator. Anyway, you can see p’Gouverneurskantoor letter in top side.

The high pillars at the door representing classic taste of the Museum. So, it would inspire ASR Stuff to take  some  moments around the place. Neo-Classic style building with a tan colour genuine leather are such a great combination so that it will spread ancient taste in  high quality product.

On the other side, there is  a nice spot consists of  brown doors as if they were old. It made us amazed enough. It is nice background for the picture. The combination between neo-classic building and Vintage satchel bag made from tan genuine leather will close ASR Stuff collections at the edge of 2013.

Still talking about Fatahillah Museum surrounding, about 200 meters across the Museum, there seemed a lot of logs, plywood and iron rusts in a slum area. Although it looked messy, but it inspires us to take another picture there. It describes that The Architectural will never disappear by the time. As long as we  give effort to take care of them. The concept strikes our idea to use the spot for another photo shoot. A simple-vintage-Classy of Sling Bag looked so chic even the background seemed quite so messy, yet The Sling Bag is still able to stand up with its Classy and chic looks.

The last spot around Fatahillah Museum is Bank Indonesia Museum, we have chosen the area where the place is quite elegant if it is combined with our collection. Well, an ancient building with vintage bag of ASR STUFF will be great-classy picture.

Well, the travel gives ASR Stuff a lot of inspirations that The Old, worn-out building is not only function just for leisure time. But those give us much inspirations for ASR Stuff. For this travel we think that we must not judge the old thing. Because sometimes if we can get the right angle from it. Surely,  we can create awesome things from that in the future.
